Slut walk for dummies

Yet again the annual slut walk took place in our city today. The slut walk for anyone who doesn't know is a walk to raise awareness about so called rape culture and to assert that woman do not deserve rape no matter what they wear.  I know it's almost to stupid to hear without hurting your brain right? Nobody in their right mind man or woman would think in western culture that its acceptable to sexually assault a woman or a man just because what that person is wearing is provocative or revealing. The birth of the slut walk in Canada at least spawned from comments made by Toronto Police in 2011 that went along the lines of *if women do not want to get raped stop dressing like sluts*.  Woman groups all over the place lost their shit and flew off the handle and I can't blame them personally for that reaction. For a police officer to infer that anyone would deserve to be assaulted sexually or otherwise because of their clothing or lack there of is ridiculous! 

In reality what happened was an idiot cop had made a statement that  was far to oversimplified and offensive to victims of rape. What the police wanted to covey was that there are people out there who break the law, SHOCKER I KNOW! and its up to the citizens to know the risks in any given situation. People know its not a good idea to walk alone at night with flashy clothes on or expensive gadgets visible because the RISK of getting mugged goes way up. Same as if say a woman walks home drunk out of her mind barley dressed. If a criminal is in the area he will use the situation to his advantage. There is a video that explains this in much grater detail than I care to go into right now below. What pisses me off is when these people in the slut walk claim we live in a culture of rape in Canada. I'm sorry but no, that is disgusting and a complete load of shit. Police in Canada do not take rape lightly. If a woman or man is rapped they can go to the police for help and they will always receive it. Rape is a crime and Canada has laws that recognize this and police will always be there to help as much as they can to investigate rape claims. Just last night a girl was sexually assaulted at Harry Anilay during a grad party at the school. This poor girl knew she had been violated and the police was where she had to go to find justice and protection. The police have taken action and some young teens are facing some serious chargers. This is my Canada! this is my country that helps victims of crime no matter how much people try to claim we live in a country that condones rape or any other crime for that matter. Lets slut walk to raise awareness about rape to the women who think police cant help. Lets slut walk to show Canadians have the freedom to dress how we want but are smart enough to know how to lower our risk of being a victim. Lets slut walk for men and woman alike who deserve to be equal, no one sex is higher than the other. We are human beings.

New Texas legislation rules over woman

So as of now if you are a woman and pregnant in Texas the governments official policy is FUCK YOU keep that baby, you don't have a choice in the matter. Oh and by the way if you think you will get one cent from us you can go lick a dick because we wont support government funding for low income family's or single parent situations. To put this in simplest terms Texas as most people know is run by white conservative religious zealots. People who believe in the (Laws of God) before the laws of man. Most people will not be able to have an abortion clinic within 150 miles of their home and will in most cases even have to go out of state to find a clinic. What the religious conservatives have now done is build new Pregnancy clinics to (Help) women if they become pregnant. These (Clinics) are staffed by other conservative religious people who have NO medical degrees or medical training yet have ultrasound machines to let expecting mothers see their little zygote and then be forced to choose to keep their zygote and shame them from making an informed choice. These (Clinics) have staff members with no medical experience walking around in white lab coats to trick the uneducated people into thinking they are doctors and know whats best for them in their situation. Who is paying for these (Clinics) and how are they able to afford ultrasound equipment you may wonder? oh well from the tax dollars of the american people of course. Yes these places are funded by the tax payers of Texas many of whom do not support such a place being run let alone funded while abortion clinics are not.

    I can't believe that this kind of thing is happening in a country that is supposedly a free nation. It's things like this that make me loose all faith in humanity and hope for the future of the human race. I would expect things like this is Iraq or other countries where woman are oppressed and ruled over by sexist religious bigots, I had no idea an entire state in America could be a worse place to live than a 3rd world nation for freedom and women's rights. This is also extremely illegal and the federal government has cut much of Texas's Medicaid because they have refused to change this draconian law. Unfortunately Texas is also a very well off state even after and during the 2008 recession so they really don't care about this. What amazes me most is how the American people tolerate this type of injustice. Doctors pack up their clinics and move to more progressive  states and citizens just roll over and except the unjust decisions of sexist pig's who run their state government. Mark my words there will be civil unrest once enough people realize what has happened in their state. If people bring more and more cases of this to the supreme court and gain world wide attention to the blatant betrayal of their constitutional rights things may change for the better. Until that day I guess women will just have to continue to ruin their lives and the lives of their unwanted children because they cannot choose the right path for them because of bigotry. This is more stupid than conservative Bill o'reilly saying AND I FUCKING QUOTE!
